Clover Mites

Identification: Clover mites are very small (1/64"), oval and dark red in color. They will leave behind a small red smear when crushed.

Habits: Clover mites are plant feeders and are most prevalent on new lawns or where well-fertilized grass meets foundation walls. They are most active in Spring and Fall and can enter homes by the thousands. They become dormant in the hotter months of summer.

Control: The best control for clover mites is a thorough exterior treatment and light hand spraying of key areas indoors with a residual insecticide. Monroe Pest Control Inc. specializes in riding these insects from your home or business. We offer free estimates and a full warranty upon completion of services!
