The President’s COVID-19 Guidelines established on March 16, 2020 designates pest control and extermination services as crucial to the welfare of Critical Infrastructure Industries and allows us to maintain work patterns during the global coronavirus outbreak. Numerous species of insects and rodents are responsible for economic loss, the transmission of viruses and disease, contamination of food products, and the endangerment of public health and safety.

Termites and Carpenter Ants cause significant structural damage to homes and buildings throughout NW Indiana each year. Rodents contaminate food products with their saliva, urine and droppings which also transmit the deadly Hantavirus. Ticks transmit Lyme disease and Mosquitos are responsible for transmitting diseases such as yellow fever, West Nile and Zika. Allergic reactions to stinging and biting insects such as Spiders, Wasps, Hornets and Yellow Jackets can be extreme and, in some instances, fatal.

Many of our services are exterior only and present little to no risk in the transmission of COVID-19. Where we find it necessary to provide interior services, Monroe Pest Control Inc. employees have been instructed on safety protocol and provided with the appropriate protective equipment (gloves, mask, booties, etc.) Regular sanitation of equipment, hand washing and social distancing will be practiced at all times.

We are committed to doing our part in stopping the spread of this horrible disease while at the same time continuing to provide a pest free environment to the community we serve. Please feel free to call our office if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,

David Wilson

President
